How do I connect Salesforce to IdeaLift?
Go to the Integrations page in your IdeaLift dashboard and click "Connect Salesforce." You'll be redirected to Salesforce to authorize OAuth access. Once approved, IdeaLift will begin syncing your selected objects automatically.
Does it support Salesforce sandbox environments?
Yes! You can connect a Salesforce sandbox for testing before going live with your production org. Select "Sandbox" during the OAuth flow to connect to test.salesforce.com instead of login.salesforce.com.
What Salesforce objects are synced?
IdeaLift supports syncing Cases, Opportunities, and Contacts. You choose which object types to import during setup. Each object type maps to ideas with relevant context preserved.
Can I map custom Salesforce fields?
Yes. IdeaLift's field mapping lets you map any custom Salesforce field to idea properties like title, description, category, or custom fields. This ensures your CRM data structure is preserved.
How often does it sync?
IdeaLift runs an incremental sync every 30 minutes, pulling only new and modified records since the last sync. You can also trigger a manual sync from the dashboard at any time.
Is my data secure?
IdeaLift is SOC 2 compliant. All OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Data is encrypted in transit via TLS. We only access the Salesforce objects you explicitly authorize.
