Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Export from Airtable

  1. Open your Airtable base and select the table with your feature requests
  2. Switch to the Grid view that shows the columns you want to export
  3. Click the menu next to the view name
  4. Select Download CSV
  5. The CSV will include all visible columns from the current view
Tip: Create a view with only the columns you need before exporting. Hide unnecessary columns like formulas, lookups, and rollups for a cleaner import.

Step 2: Upload to IdeaLift

  1. Go to Dashboard → Import
  2. Click Airtable in the "Import from Tool Export" section
  3. Select the CSV file you downloaded from Airtable
  4. IdeaLift will auto-detect your Airtable columns and map them

Step 3: Review & Import

  1. Review the column mapping — adjust any that were not auto-detected
  2. Choose your default status for imported ideas
  3. Click Preview Import to verify your data
  4. Click Import to complete the migration
