Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Export from Airtable
- Open your Airtable base and select the table with your feature requests
- Switch to the Grid view that shows the columns you want to export
- Click the … menu next to the view name
- Select Download CSV
- The CSV will include all visible columns from the current view
Tip: Create a view with only the columns you need before exporting. Hide unnecessary columns like formulas, lookups, and rollups for a cleaner import.
Step 2: Upload to IdeaLift
- Go to Dashboard → Import
- Click Airtable in the "Import from Tool Export" section
- Select the CSV file you downloaded from Airtable
- IdeaLift will auto-detect your Airtable columns and map them
Step 3: Review & Import
- Review the column mapping — adjust any that were not auto-detected
- Choose your default status for imported ideas
- Click Preview Import to verify your data
- Click Import to complete the migration
